Birthday Gifts for Him

It was my sweet husband's birthday last weekend. Usually I pride myself on being a good gift-giver, but after spending 6 years of anniversaries, Christmases, birthdays, and other milestones together - I had no idea what to get him! Luckily Anup is so simple, humble, and appreciative of the small things in life. The past few birthdays I got him luxe gifts like his iPad (which he uses every single day) or his UGG slippers (that I ended up wearing lol), but this birthday I wanted it to be more personal and sentimental.

Aerogarden Harvest Elite - Indoor Garden

Anup and I love taking care of plants together. We currently have an Olive Tree, a Lemon Cyprus Tree, fresh florals, and a few succulents in our apartment. The Aerogarden was the perfect gift for someone like Anup who loves to garden but does not have access to outdoor space! As soon as Anup opened his gift he was so excited to set it up, it was so cute to see his reaction! This indoor garden came with a gourmet herb seed kit which included Curly Parsley, Dill, Thyme, Thai Basil, and Mint! The Aerogarden uses LED lights to maximize photosynthesis and has a built in watering system. It's only been a few days and we're already seeing sprouts!!

Aura Digital Frame

Anup has been talking about framing photographs from our recent travels up on the walls for months. Of course, our wall is still blank because we could not agree on which photos to print— our styles are very different as I'm sure you could imagine! So I figured, why not get him a digital frame where he could enjoy any and every photo he wanted with Aura! The Aura app made it really easy to upload photos, adjust the crop, and manage the timer! It fits perfectly on our entertainment stand and effortlessly matches the rest of our home aesthetic. Anup's really been enjoying seeing photos (and videos) from our wedding, our honeymoon, trips with his friends, and family portraits all day long!

Philips Norelco Multigroomer All-in-One Trimmer Series 7000

I love giving gifts in threes— I have no idea why but all my life it's just what has felt right for me. Anyways.... the last gift was a more functional one! I bought him the Philips Trimmer/Grooming Kit. For anyone that knows Anup well, you know how much he cares for his personal hygiene — from dental to skin care to hand care— he really takes the time for care for himself which I love! So this grooming kit was both useful and practical for his daily routine which he appreciated.

It's important to be thoughtful and personal when giving gifts! These gifts really highlight the different aspects of Anup and his personal interests. I actually keep running a list of gift ideas on the Notes app for Anup based on things he has shared with me that he wants or need that I refer to when the time comes.
